These allow payment providers and fintech innovators to deliver a frictionless and secure underwriting experience to their partners and merchants. Through this acquisition, NMI is continuing to expand outside of traditional gateway services and offer additional value and tools that enable quicker and easier merchant sign-up and monetisation opportunities. New partner for VivaCity VivaCity has partnered with its 25th London council, the London Borough of Bexley, to reduce congestion and improve traffic flow in the area. VivaCitys AI traffic sensors will replace Bexleys existing traffic count monitoring equipment of induction loops, which only count without modal differentiation or the ability to measure speed. Instead, VivaCitys AI sensors can differentiate between different modes of transport and, with 97 per cent accuracy, report on the make-up of traffic on Bexleys roads. Simply the best again Airport Parking & Hotels (APH), which is a Safer Parking Scheme member, has won Best Company for Airport Parking at the prestigious British Travel Awards 2022 for the 12th consecutive year. TV presenter Alison Hammond presented managing director Nick Caunter with the award during a ceremony at Battersea Evolution in November. The British Travel Awards is the largest independent awards scheme in the UK and the only consumervoted awards programme for the travel industry. 10 AppyWay guides drivers through the streets of London AppyWay, the digital kerbside management company, has launched its driver app AppyParking+ which will give drivers detailed parking restriction information for all 32 London boroughs. Working with Transport for London (TfL), the new app displays all red route parking information for London. This means drivers can experience better journeys around the capital; delivery services and trades can safely load and unload; and Blue Badge holders can park, pick up or drop off much closer to their destinations, knowing what the restrictions are at the time. Londons red routes make up five per cent of Londons roads, but carry up to 30 per cent of the citys traffic. Red routes help reduce congestion and ensure deliveries and journeys can be made safely to keep the city moving. Unless otherwise stated, these major arterial routes with single and double red lines are no stopping at all times. However, TfL, which manages restrictions on red routes, does allow parking along them in specified areas, for certain periods, when their use will not cause major disruption. AppyWay+ will guide motorists to a permitted area of parking quickly and efficiently, in turn reducing mileage, fuel usage and congestion. To cover all of Londons kerbside, AppyWay and TfL worked together to make it easier for people to understand the parking restrictions on the red routes. Dan Hubert, AppyWay founder and CEO, said: Through AppyParking+ we have proven the importance of putting kerbside data into the hands of Londons drivers. Every day drivers can make informed travel decisions and fleets are able to optimise their operations. Nick Owen, TfLs head of network performance, said: Parking restrictions around the capital play an important role in reducing motor traffic, and enabling more walking, cycling and public transport use. People driving should only stop or park on red routes where permitted and we want to make it as simple as possible for people to understand where they can and cant park. AppyWays suite of kerbside management tools, Traffic Suite, has now been adopted by Dublin City Council. The council wanted to better understand how its kerbsides were being used and is now benefiting from digitised, map-based restriction management and is able to share data with external mobility operators. Saba takes on Transport for London car parks International car park operator Saba has taken on the running of all TfL car parks. TfLs car parking portfolio consists of 78 car parks at London Underground, overground and Elizabeth Line stations, providing more than 10,000 parking bays across London. TfL and Saba will be working together to find new ways to make the car parks more environmentally and financially sustainable. Saba will work alongside PayByPhone, which provides mobile payment services for TfL car parks.
