Parking Scotland Expo Were thrilled to be back at the Scotland Expo, continuing our longstanding support of the BPA. Being able to meet together under one roof again is a welcome and much-anticipated opportunity to engage with the wider Scottish parking community. We are particularly looking forward to talking about parking data as a service, and the creation of an open market for parking, so please do pop over and say hello Peter ODriscoll, managing director, RingGo presentation from Social Bite, a social welfare organisation that has been working in partnership with NSL to assist people back into work and fill some frontline vacancies in Edinburgh. Chair of the BPA Board Anjna Patel MBE, and BPA President Jade Neville, will also lead a discussion on frontline officer welfare and the work being undertaken to address issues around verbal and physical abuse. The day will close with a drinks reception, generously provided by gold sponsor RingGo, offering a chance for discussion on the issues raised. Its good to talk As well as presenting information, an essential part of this event is discussion and debate, so do join in with your questions and opinions. The BPA is in consultation phase with a new five-year strategy, so this event is a timely opportunity for members in Scotland to feed into this process. Council members from around the UK will be present throughout the day and want to talk to as many people as possible. To make it easier to find them, they will be located on stand four in the exhibition, so please stop by and talk to them about what matters to you, and what you would like to see in the strategy for Scotland. The BPA will be inviting donations to its corporate charity, Macmillan Cancer Support, during the Expo. If you would like to make even more of a difference, then you can take part in this months Worlds Biggest Coffee morning: see pages 34-35.
