Your chance to shine! TSIs family of publications may be expanding, but we still very much wanttofeature your submissions in both TS Today and our new TS Review quarterly magazine. Submissions are and always have been the lifeblood of TS Today, and TS Review will showcase the very best of what you and your trading standards teams across the country have been doing to: reform the profession; transformhow you are delivering services; protect consumers from harm; and catch the crooks. Since 2008, the College of Fellows has recognised the significant contribution you make to TS Today by launching an annual award for the best article that is published in the magazine. Now, were looking for contenders for the 2013/14 award. Each year, the prize is presented at TSI Conference, not only to reward writers for their skill in telling a story, but also to recognise how innovative their team has been in getting over the hurdles in an investigation how they have put best practice to good use, and the lessons they have taken away from it so that other officers reading the article can learn from their operations. In the past, winners have included: Trish Burls, for her piece on the Fraud that proved fatal, which won in 2013; Judith Shewan for her article Beefing up, which was presented in 2012; and Craig McClue for Taking parkers for a ride, which was a winner in 2011. We do our best to publish all features that are sent to us. They can be 1,000-1,500 words in length, and finalised copy should be sent to us via email on the first day of the month before the publication month for TS Today andtwo months before the publication monthfor TSReview.
