See britishparking.co.uk/InnovationTrail-2023 for more information. stakeholder collaboration and compliance solutions will also be discussed, taking into account learnings from our European Parking Association peers. People have told us that future-proofing is an important consideration, so we have a session on business strategy, data insight and preparing for possible future legislation requirements, says Boshoff-Turner. We are planning a discussion on charging for fleets and last-mile EV solutions, as well as the important fire-safety requirements and ensuring car park safety in light of the increased weight of EVs. Meanwhile, over in the main Parkex Hub, the packed programme starts with a session for all delegates affected by the Private Parking Code of Practice, and will provide an update on the latest news from government. Later on, the Parkex Hub will consider how we ensure equality, diversity and inclusion in our workforce, and report on ongoing work to encourage new talent into the sector. There will also be a close look at the BPAs recent equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) research report and how the Association is taking steps to use its findings to inform its own EDI policy and the policies held by its members. Two summits will also be held: one for local authority members and one for members of the Approved Operator Scheme. Well round off a packed day with Women in Parking representatives taking to the Parkex Hub stage to continue the theme of tackling violence against women and girls, with an important announcement of their own, says Boshoff-Turner. Then well all be able to enjoy a well-deserved drink and carry on the conversations at our second Parkex Women in Parking drinks reception, which is kindly sponsored by DCBL again. Day three: celebrating our sector Hub sessions continue apace on the final day, with a deep dive into BPA membership so delegates can ensure they are getting all the benefits of belonging to the UKs oldest and largest parking association. There have been a number of developments, including expansion of the professional development programme and a refreshed individual membership and online training offering. Delegates will be able to keep up to speed with the latest developments in the sector as the finalists of the sought-after Innovation Trail crown showcase their products and solutions. We close off what is set to be an amazing three days with a look at what the future holds for parking with the presentation of awards to our Innovation Trail winners, says Boshoff-Turner.
