Send your tips and letters to Inspire magazine, 1 Cambridge Technopark, Newmarket Road, Cambridge CB5 8PB, or email inspire@ versusarthritis.org Moving moment The problem of putting on socks was mentioned twice in the Spring 2023 issue of Inspire. I was issued with a gadget for doing this by my NHS occupational therapist many years ago when I started having problems with my hips, and it is still serving me well. There are several on Amazon, I see. Just one of many gadgets that help to make life simpler and make me more independent. Brenda Bryant, via email In response to your letters page (Inspire Spring 2023), I have bought a Van Raam walking aid [see picture, above]. I bought it from Get Cycling, in York. It takes my body weight and its ideal for flat, shopping centre-type environments. But you need working knees! Margaret Jordan, via email Eds response: Thanks for sharing this with us, Margaret it looks like a great item to help keep you moving. Get Cycling can be found at 22 Hospital Fields Road, York YO10 4DZ, or online at getcycling.org.uk 16 versusarthritis.org PP16_Inspire_Summer 2023_Letters.indd 16 17/05/2023 12:17
