If you would like to drop her a line, write to us or send an email to the address above. whats the alternative? Lets be pen friends I am an ex-health professional and now in my 80s, having trained in London. I have always had some kind of back pain, starting about the age of 12, which was diagnosed as osteoarthritis. Nothing seemed to be known about it then, and I was put on various painkillers, none of which helped much. I find now that I am allergic to most tablets, except paracetamol, which I only take if necessary. At a pain clinic years ago, a doctor put me on a tranquilliser, as he thought I had nerve pain; I then took various pills, all of which upset me terribly. On top of it all, I got flu a year ago and, in spite of physios and occupational therapists, it has taken me ages to begin to feel better. I am now eating quite well, doing a few gentle exercises and going for little walks in the garden. I am young looking, love clothes and am very artistic. Would anyone similar care to write to me? I also believe in a little make-up at almost any age. Liz, Berkshire Editors response: Would anyone like to I am reading a book entitled What the doctors dont tell you: Arthritis by Lynne McTaggart and Bryan Hubbard. It tells of the hospitalisation of thousands of people from non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) each year, and a number of them are from the common drug aspirin. Now this is not good enough from the GPs of Britain, who are only taught to dispense drugs by the profit-hungry drug companies. Personally, I take green tea loose, not tea bags and a wonderful enzyme called serrapeptase. It is christened the miracle enzyme by Dr Robert Redfern, and is a natural cleanser of the whole system, inside and out. I also take Flexicoll in water, which can be successful in as little as three weeks, but 12 weeks at the most. They are perfectly harmless, unlike drugs. I forget this is another symptom. @dania_pl The fatigue is just awful, and very isolating and lonely when no-one understands that a nap doesnt fix it @jennybarrowcli1 Fatigue is huge!
