F ID I C O N FE R ENCE FOUR NIGHTS IN BANGKOK The FIDI Board has announced the 2023 FIDI Conference will take place in Bangkok, Thailand, at the end of March 2023 exact dates will be announced shortly This change in location was taken in light of the ongoing COVID-related restrictions for international travellers still in place in Japan. The yearly FIDI Conference is the flagship event of our industry, said FIDI President Laura Ganon. Its where old and new friends meet and business relationships are sealed. The FIDI Board really wants to make sure that everybody from our community can join us in 2023, and Bangkok seems like the perfect fit. The FIDI Board announced in July 2022 that it was contemplating changing the events location from Osaka to somewhere else in Asia, to allow Affiliates and FIDI partners to join without complications caused by travel restrictions. 60 FF307 September-November 22 pp60-61 FIDI Conference poster.indd 60 Jesse van Sas, FIDI Secretary General, said: This change in location has no financial implications for FIDI, as the hotel and other partners in Osaka have been very understanding. We would like to thank Eric Lim and the FIDI Asia Association for their valuable help in this process. Thailand is a fantastic location for an event like ours, and I am sure that the 2023 conference will be a memorable one. It is of course difficult to plan ahead in these times of uncertainty, and the FIDI Board and office is constantly monitoring the international COVID FOR ANY situation and international developments.
