The groups Australian homemoving and relocation services business, WridgWays, has been sold in a management buy-out to Kobus Fourie, Managing Director of WridgWays. At the same time, Santa Fe Relocation will sign a five-year mutually exclusive franchise agreement with Fouries newly acquired business. However, the two companies will remain integrated through key competencies, such as customer experience, processes and technology. Martin Thaysen, Santa Fe Group CEO, said: This is the ideal situation, where we get a highly capable and committed franchise partner in Australia, a future for our employees with career and growth opportunities, and continued exceptional customer experience for our global Santa Fe Relocation customers. We very much look forward to the future partnership with Kobus, and growing our business in Australia under new ownership. Additionally, Santa Fe Relocation is selling its immigration business to CIBT. Based in Washington DC, CIBT is a leading global provider of immigration and visa services. The company supports a diverse clientele that includes more than 75 per cent of the Fortune 500, NGOs, government agencies and other organisations requiring assistance with short and long-term visa and immigration needs. Once the proposed acquisition has closed, Santa Fe Relocations employees will gradually transfer to CIBTs wholly owned immigration subsidiary, Newland Chase. Alongside this, Santa Fe Relocation has entered into a long-term commercial agreement with CIBT. This will enable Santa Fe Relocations clients to access immigration services provided by CIBT, either on a stand-alone basis or as part of a fully integrated end-to-end model. Thaysen said: The sale and partnership with CIBT enhances our service offering with an expanded global footprint for immigration, connectivity to CIBTs cutting-edge technology and access to even deeper expert immigration practitioners in nearly 50 countries.
