A global view Insights, projects and people from across the world of Rail & Transit at SNC-Lavalin Western Sydney Airport project A team led by SNC-Lavalin has been chosen by the Australian governments Department of Infrastructure and Regional Development to deliver rail feasibility design services for the recently announced, new Western Sydney Airport (WSA) project. SNC-Lavalin will help develop an initial business case for the funding and corridor preservation of future rail services for WSA. This work will be undertaken as part of the broader WSA project, which is designed to cater for expected passenger and freight growth in the Sydney region. The feasibility design study will inform the government of the extent and cost of the rail works components to facilitate the development of rail services at WSA. We are excited to have been awarded our first major Commonwealth government project in Australia, said Mark Hughes, Regional Director, SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit, Australasia. snclavalin.com
