BPA news Update to AOS code Service board elections Elections for ordinary member vacancies on three of the BPAs service boards Public Affairs and Communications, Professional Development and Standards, and Operational Services will take place this month, following a call for nominations in August. Last month saw elections for the chair of two of our service boards Technology, Innovation and Research, and Professional Development and Standards. The results of these elections will be announced to members via email this month. Our service boards help guide key areas of business within the Association. You can find out more about the role of a service board member at britishparking.co.uk/ Elections-Hub The BPA has introduced a new clause on complaint handling (Clause 11) to the BPA Approved Operator Scheme Code of Practice (see bit.ly/PNSept22CH). This new approach to complaint handling brings the AOS guidance in line with the Private Parking Code of Practice. The BPA webinar on 28 July covered this topic, which you can watch again at britishparking.co.uk/Past-Webinars If you want more advice or support, please email AOS@britishparking.co.uk The BPA will be running regular webinars on the Parking (Code of Practice) Act during the next few months to keep members informed of developments regarding the implementations of the code and to help ensure they are compliant when it comes into force. Upcoming dates for the webinars include 29 September, 27 October, 24 November, and 26 January 2023. To save you time, the BPA team has set up the Parking Code webinars as a repeating series. You only have to register once and will be automatically enrolled to all the upcoming webinars in the series.
