Nick Hannan, relationship fundraising manager at Macmillan Cancer Support, urges us all to take the time to have a life-changing cuppa this month and help raise vital funds for people living with cancer ed like to thank all of you who have helped to raise 2,247.50 for Macmillan Cancer Support so far this year. We have seen some incredible fundraising efforts and generosity, but we are a little short of where wed all hoped to have been on the road to our 2022 fundraising target of 10,000. We still have several months of the year left in which to turn things around, and Macmillan is working with the BPA on numerous ideas, so please get involved as and when these are announced. Your support really does make a difference to people living with cancer and many of the activities are great fun! September is when we encourage people to get involved in the Worlds Biggest Coffee Morning, either by supporting one or hosting one. The official date is 30 September, but it can be whenever you like. Its a wonderful, truly accessible event who doesnt like cake?! Every coffee morning no matter how big or small has the power to raise vital pennies and pounds. Whether its a virtual coffee morning or a great face-to-face gathering, well help you put on a fantastic event, by offering the choice of two kits the classic, with bunting and tablecloth, for physical get togethers, or a more environmentally friendly version, with less plastic and paper, for virtual gatherings. By working together, we can reach our 10,000 target by the end of the year.
