Companies news DCBL scoops technology award Debt-collection firm DCBL has won the Best Use of Technology at the Credit Awards 2022 for its partnership with Webio, a leading AI customerengagement solution. The businesses have collaborated to add easy access to various digital channels, moving conversations through channels such as SMS and WhatsApp. The transformation has resulted in a significant increase in payments and allows the contact centre to further support its vulnerable customers via a broader spectrum of communications channels. Mark Oppermann, co-founder and head of sales and marketing at Webio, said: DCBL was looking for a cuttingedge technology solution that was agile in its deployment, and were pleased to have delivered just that. New clients for PayByPhone PayByPhone, a global leader in mobile parking payments, gained 21 new clients between January and July this year. The expansion comprises on- and off-street locations for local authorities, hospitals, universities, and a property company. PayByPhone added 19 locations across Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council, in the Midlands, and Southampton Councils Active Nation outdoor sports facility. The firm also added five locations when it welcomed Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners, Cumbria, to its client portfolio in May. In July, five locations in Stoke on Trent, one in Oxfordshire, with the National Parking Platform, and 19 under Staffordshire Moorlands District Council also joined the client roster. Many hospitals across England have also started working with PayByPhone. In London, Greenwichs Queen Elizabeth Hospital and Lewishams University Hospital were added to the portfolio, as were the Northern Care Alliance NHS Group and Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. PayByPhone took over from PaySmarti at the universities of Bristol, Kent and York, and at Imperial College. It is also now live at the University of Southampton and Mazecroft Properties in Leicester. Aberdeenshire Council, Ayrshire Roads Alliance and Edinburghs Queen Margaret University are all now working with PayByPhone, as are Tywyn Town Council, on the Cardigan Bay coast, and Flintshire County Council. Sales and marketing administrator Paul Eaton said: The event gave us a superb opportunity to showcase the Berry brand. We also had a great response to our two new brochures.
