Guest editors comment Stronger together Guest editor and BPA President Mike Marrs introduces our Parkex issue Welcome to this special issue of Parking News! Youll notice a few changes including a new design and a new size we hope you approve. The world of parking is moving faster than ever and its important that we continue to provide you with engaging content in a format that we know you appreciate. Im excited that many of us will be meeting again in person later this month, when Parkex returns to the NEC for its first live show for three years. The UKs largest dedicated parking and transport event is a must attend for all parking professionals. The BPA team will be on hand to provide advice and support, so do stop by to say hello. In-person events are an indication that things are gradually returning to some sort of normality. While we have all been able to navigate our way via screens, Teams and Zooms, nothing can replace the buzz of a packed room and face-to-face conversations doing business, learning, or simply catching up over a coffee. I never want to hear you are on mute again! I look forward to catching up with as many of you as I can and wish you all a successful show. Lastly, we have had an excellent response to this years Council elections, with more than 25 people applying. Watch out for more elections and please do put yourself forward: we are only as strong as our members. We welcome contributions from BPA members, so please get in touch with the editor, Louise Parfitt, at louise.parfitt@cpl.co.uk 7 PN June 2022 pp06-07 Editors Comment.indd 7 24/05/2022 11:26
