Industry rst at Q-Park Mailbox Q-Park has teamed up with MotaGoGo to install an innovative tyre-tread scanner, allowing customers to receive a free tyre check when they visit the Mailbox car park in Birmingham city centre. Redbridge pilots school-streets programme with Videalert Videalert has been awarded a contract by the London Borough of Redbridge to install CCTV enforcement cameras as part of the Redbridge School Streets pilot programme. Funded by the Mayor of London and Transport for London, roads leading to three schools in the borough SS Peter and Pauls Catholic Primary School, Gordon Primary School, and Fairlop Primary School will be closed to trac at the start and end of each school day during term time. Under the contract, awarded through Skanska, Videalert will install the latest ONVIF-compliant HD cameras to enforce the no-entry zones outside these schools. The council will put up signs to notify drivers that these roads can only be accessed by cyclists and pedestrians at the displayed times. Non-exempt vehicles that enter the closed streets during the peak times will be identified by Videalerts automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) cameras. Exemptions will apply to residents and businesses in the zone and Blue Badge holders requiring access. Susan Johnson, headteacher at SS Peter and Pauls Catholic Primary School, said: The whole community at SS Peter and Pauls is delighted with this project, which will improve air quality and reduce congestion around the school. Videalert has also launched Stingray, a new modular ANPR camera solution. Designed for use with Videalerts expanding range of multipurpose mobile enforcement vehicles (MEV), this solution features the latest generation of HD cameras, with upgraded infrared lighting to deliver enhanced capture rates and increased productivity in all parking and tracmanagement applications. 10 britishparking.co.uk PN Apr20 pp10-13 Companies News.indd 10 24/03/2020 15:19
