FID I S E RVI C E S MARIE-PASCALE FRIX, FIDI BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE MANAGER FIDI LAUNCHES AN ADDITIONAL 32 CUSTOMS GUIDES FIDI has reviewed its Customs Guides, extending the number and geographical coverage of these invaluable tools for Affiliates, their partners, and clients. FIDIs Business Intelligence Manager, Marie-Pascale Frix, explains the changes and the role of local Customs Ambassadors in developing the guides S ince their publication on the public FIDI website in 2020, the FIDI Customs Guides have gained a high number of loyal followers, who use the country guides to inform their clients about the latest import and export regulations, in hundreds of countries across the world. The guides have recently undergone a major review, and the geographical coverage has been extended to 144 countries (from 116 in 2021), offering a total of 201 Customs Guides. Affiliates can access 144 import and 57 export guides from the FIDI Customs Guides web page. The purpose of the guides is to give updated information on import and export regulations for household goods and personal effects for a specific country, for international moving companies, their partners, and clients. The FIDI office relies on a team of industry volunteers Customs Ambassadors appointed locally by either the FIDI office or by the relevant FIDI Association. A big thank you to all Customs Ambassadors for their support during 2021. The FIDI Customs Guides are freely available on www.fidi.org, so there is no need for you to download the guides and publish them on your website. We recommend that you add a direct link from your company website to the FIDI Customs Guides page this way, you benefit from the latest version of each guide available at any time. A KEY SALES TOOL FIDI Customs Guides are an invaluable part of our sales teams kit, helping them educate clients on import regulations and manage expectations. So, we agreed to help FIDI create new guides for countries where it does not have affiliated companies. With the assistance of AGS branches in those countries, we compiled an additional 28 guides. The Customs Guides being freely available to Affiliates and non-Affiliates serves the entire international mobility community.
