P E O P L E M OV ES JIMMY MURRAY NEW HILLDRUP CFO Jimmy Murray has been promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Hilldrup. Murray has held a number of leadership roles during his career at the company, including Vice-President and General Manager of Hilldrups Orlando operations before he was promoted to Senior Vice-President of Global Sales and Branch Operations. Most recently he was Executive Vice-President, Finance and Business Operations. According to the company, Murrays new expanded role will see him continue to manage Hilldrups accounting and finance departments and the companys financial decisions. He will also continue to oversee the leadership and direction of Hilldrups branch network. ATLAS WORLD GROUP PROMOTE PLANAVSKY Atlas World Group has announced the appointment of Rudy Planavsky to the role of President and Chief Operating Officer of Champion International, following the death of Ron Smith. The company said: Rudy is a highly experienced, successful, and wellregarded leader in the international relocation industry. He has been with Champion from inception and has played many key roles in building the organisation into the top-notch company it is today. We are grateful for Rudy to continue the legacy of our late leader, Ron Smith. Planavsky is one of the founding team members of Champion, which is 30 years old this year. MILLS REPLACES ROGERS AT UNIGROUP Marc Rogers has resigned as President of UniGroup Worldwide Moving, the US-based parent to mobility names including United Van Lines and Mayflower Transit. He had been in the role since December 2017 and, according to a statement by the Fenton, US-based company, left with immediate effect at the end of September 2021 to pursue other opportunities. Jason Mills, the companys Chief Operating Officer, has taken on the role of interim President and CEO. According to the company, Mills will work with Chairman Charles McDaniel and the companys executive leadership team to progress the companys strategic plan. ATLAS APPOINTS OPERATIONS DIRECTOR Amsterdam-based Atlas International Movers has appointed Andre Meuwsen as its Director of Operations. Meuwsen, who has 25 years experience in transport and logistics, will be responsible for the Atlas move coordination centre, planning department, moving crews and warehousing. BURKE TAKES ON GERSON OPERATIONS ROLE Gerson Relocation has appointed Martina Burke as its Head of Operations.
