I needed a reliable moving company one that I could trust to support me and my family throughout the process of relocating my family. FF: Why did you choose a FIDI Affiliate? KYB: When I moved to Belgium, it was just my husband and me. We had no children, not many personal belongings and our only consideration was that both of us would find good jobs. It was quite an easy move, without any major risks. This time, however, things were quite different. You would think it would be easy, as we were moving back to our home country, but this was not the case. Myteenage sons are both fully integrated into the Belgianway of life. Although we speak Hebrew at home, their main language is Dutch. Taking the decision to move to anon-European country was not straightforward. We had to take so many decisions and handle countless preparations beforehand, mainly to allow for a smooth transition for the children. For the physical part of the move, it was crucial to select a company that I could trust. I was looking for one that would guarantee all the necessary administrative andbureaucratic support, before and during the move, sothat I could focus on the emotional aspect of relocating my family. I am from the generation that still keeps photos, postcards and letters in albums; household goods, such as furniture, are important, but our history, memories and personal belongings are irreplaceable. As a risk manager and based on my knowledge of what a FIDI-affiliated company has to go through to be FAIM-certified I knew Icould count on a FIDI Affiliate to handle mymove. 37 23/01/2019 16:39
