IN D U ST RY N EW S NFB INTERNATIONAL WINS GOVERNMENT CONTRACT Kent acquires Expat International Australian relocation and moving company Kent Relocation Group has acquired Expat International, a Melbourne-based relocation and immigration services provider. Expat International was founded in 1983 and later established the Global Immigration Network (GIN), a group of immigration service providers in 22 countries. Kent Relocation was established nearly 70 years ago and this deal represents its latest expansion. TIGERS CREATES DUAL BRANDS Shareholders at Asian Tigers have created two distinct brand identities for the businesses core activities, which were launched on January 1, 2020. The company said in a statement: The Asian Tigers are to be all things moving; Silk Relo all things relo, destination services and visa and immigration. The umbrella Asian Tigers Mobility brand will be retired. The two identities are each accompanied by a logo. The company said that during this transition, it will be business as usual with no interruption of services and it would issue further updates to the industry. 14 FF295 FebMar20 pp10-15 Ind News.indd 14 Norwegian mover NFB International Relocations has won three contracts after a tender process for Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) relocations business in Asia/Oceania, Africa and the Americas for the next four years. The contracts have an estimated value of US$2.5 million a year. FIDI TO RETURN TO EUROPE Following this years conference in Osaka, Japan, FIDI will return to Europe for its 2021 Conference. It will be held from 25-28 April in Cannes, France. TEAM RELOCATIONS REBRANDS Team Relocations, based in Amsterdam, with offices across Europe, has rebranded to SIRVA. The move follows SIRVAs acquisition of the company in August 2019. STAKES IN 10 PORTS SOLD The CMA CGM Group has signed an agreement with China Merchants Port (CMPort) to sell a stake in 10 port terminals to Terminal Link, a joint venture set up in 2013, which is 51 per cent owned by CMA CGM and 49 per cent by CMPort. CROWN UPDATES FLEET Crown Worldwide Moving and Storage, LLC, has recently expanded its local fleet to include 13 new 26ft bobtail trucks. This updated fleet is more fuel efficient and has GPS tracking.
