A global view Insights, projects and people from across the world of Rail & Transit at SNC-Lavalin New VP Rail Operations for O&M is named Robert (Bob) Young has been appointed Vice-President Rail Operations, Operations & Maintenance (O&M). Based in Toronto, he will report to Marc Devlin, Senior Vice-President, Transportation & Power, O&M, and is responsible for the execution of rail projects, frommobilisation through to revenue service. Bob has 38 years of experience working in the freight and passenger rail industry, the past 19 years of which have been with Bombardier Transportation. As Head of O&M for their Americas division, heoversaw a team of more than 1,800 people located in 10 cities. Using his expertise, Bob will ensure that the maintenance and operations of SNC-Lavalins projects are cutting-edge and lean. Working closely with the business development team, he will ensure a competitive O&M offering. SNC-Lavalin employee joins APTA leadership class 2017 Yolanda Favors, from the SNC-Lavalin Rail & Transit Engineering team in North America, has been acceptedinto the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) leadership class of 2017. Leadership APTA is the associations primary professional development programme. It is designed to develop and support experienced managers, who aspire to hold senior and executive positions within the public transportation sector. Each year, Leadership APTA selects approximately 25 applicants from APTA member organisations to participate in an intensive, year-long programme. This includes skillbuilding workshops, conferences, executive roundtables, team leadership projects, teleconferences, online meetings and web-based events. Compliance Manager Yolanda is a qualified attorney. She joined SNC-Lavalin in 2015 and has more than 28 years experience in government regulatory compliance, contracts and real estate.
