Companies news RingGo in new partnership RingGo, a UK cashless parking provider, has announced a partnership with Go Ultra Low, the national campaign for electric vehicles. The campaign aims to reduce misconceptions and dispel myths in order to drive the continued adoption of electric vehicles (EV). RingGo is helping to provide its customers with the information they need to make the switch to electric by including messaging and information on its website and app. The company will also be working with Go Ultra Low to showcase the impact the parking industry can have on helping to drive uptake of EVs. RingGo is expanding in Oxfordshire, with two county council park and ride car parks on the outskirts of Oxford taking up the service, providing a total of 2,093 spaces. RingGo already works with Oxford City Council offering cashless parking in its three park and ride car parks, which operate on the outskirts of the city. Clean Air Zone contract for Siemens Mobility Siemens Mobility Limited has been awarded a contract to design, supply and install a clean air zone (CAZ) automatic number plate recognition (ANPR) camera monitoring and enforcement solution across Birminghams city centre. The introduction of the CAZ has been designed to improve air quality across the city centre, by discouraging the most polluting vehicles from entering the zone. The zone is expected to be fully operational by July 2020 and will cover all Class D vehicles, with certain exemptions. Siemens Mobility has worked with the council, the Department for Transports Joint Air Quality Unit and other programme partners to develop a robust and reliable system that will cover all the major routes within the Middleway Ring Road (but not the Middleway itself). The system will work alongside an existing Siemens ANPR camera system that currently monitors and enforces use of the citys bus lanes within the city boundary. ALSOprint bags a green option Fareham Borough Council has moved to ALSOprints biodegradable bags for its penalty charge notices (PCNs) as part of its campaign to Give Plastic the Push. ALSOprint director Andrew Wheatley is delighted to be able to offer a biodegradable option to help local authorities make more environmentally friendly choices. The demand for biodegradable PCN bags has been a factor for a while now, as councils look to go plastic-free, he said. ALSOprint can supply personalised biodegradable bags as recently ordered by Fareham Borough Council. Aurrigo hits the fairways Midlands-based autonomous vehicle (AV) specialist Aurrigo has completed its first public autonomous trial in Canada, opening up new opportunities for expansion.
