A difficult situation arose in both choirs because I couldnt conform to instructions. I have already left one choir because of a lack of understanding from people, who just assume I am being awkward. The other choir, which I intend to stay in, has people up to the age of 90 with all sorts of physical problems. But it seems that my hand arthritis and spinal fractures are a long way down the pecking order of acceptable disability. Not being able to hold the music folder and having difficulty constantly sitting/ standing at concerts seems to be taken as just plain insubordination. I have always been a bit of a quiet rebel, so will be pleased to see something in print by our Christmas concert! Best wishes and keep up the good work with your very interesting and decorative magazine. Irene Hart, via email Point taken I really like reading Inspire magazine with all its hints and tips. I enjoyed the article entitled Whats the best time to? (Inspire Autumn 2019), but may I suggest future articles are not black print on blue paper, as it does strain the eyes! Stephanie Clarke, Reading Ed says: Sorry about that Stephanie we will try to avoid printing on dark colours in future. In the bag Ive acquired a new aid since reaching the point where I need to use a Zimmer long term. Its the fantastic apron bag, which attaches easily to my frame with Velcro straps, and carries so much. If I walk slowly, I can even carry a ISTOCK.COM / CASARSAGURU Invisible disabilities cup of tea without spilling it. Its the Ability Superstore Walking Zimmer Frame Apron Bag, 8.95 plus postage (abilitysuperstore.com). Indispensable!
