L IGH T E R S I D E Annual golf tournament raises cash for Arpins charity fund CARIBBEAN EXHIBITS PUT AGS IN THE PICTURE AGS Guadeloupe (not affiliated to FIDI) was chosen by the Caribbean Centre for Expression and Remembrance of Trafficking and Slavery (Mmorial ACTe) to transport artworks for a exhibition entitled The Black Model, from Gricault to Picasso, held in its largest city, Pointe--Pitre, at the end of last year. AGS Guadeloupe manager Franois Chataigne supervised the move from beginning to end. The company used a refrigerated vehicle to keep the crates at a temperature of 22. It was escorted to the venue by police motorcyclists and members of Raid a specialised unit of the French police who also kept watch as the works were unloaded. Isaacs walks the walk Isaacs Moving and Storage has once again sponsored the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk Boston, providing moving trucks and storage, as well as Team Isaacs staff, to manage logistics for the event. More than 30 employees took part in the walk, raising more than US$2,500 for the charity. The Arpin Charitable Fund, also known as Arpin Strong, has run its sixth annual golf tournament at the Four Oaks Country Club in Dracut, Massachusetts. The event has raised US$45,856 for charity Rhode Island since its inception in 1982. The fund was formed to help those in need during natural disasters, or when unfortunate circumstances arise. Staff participate in community-based volunteer projects and fundraising events throughout the year. It has raised more than $175,000 over the past six years. This years charity golf tournament was bittersweet because it not only marked Arpin Strongs sixth year, but it was dedicated to the memory of two very special friends and colleagues who had recently passed away, said Michael Killoran, chairman of the Arpin Charitable Fund golf committee and chief financial officer of Arpin Group. Both Bob Sullivan, SVP, Corporate Accounts, and Mark Dearborn, VP Global Accounts and Arpin Strongs founding member, were highly respected associates of the Arpin team that cared deeply for the community, and led by example. We are proud to carry on their legacy and continue to make a difference to help solve the defining social issues of our time.
