
IN D U ST RY N EW S Jolle Castro awarded top French honour Jolle Castro, co-founder and member of the Executive Board of the Mobilitas/AGS Group, has been made a Knight of the Ordre National de Lgion dHonneur. The medal was presented to her by Geoffroy Roux de Bezieux, President of the MEDEF (the largest employer federation of France) at the Palais Roland Bonaparte in Paris. The National Order of the Legion of Honour of the French Republic is the highest French order of merit and was established in 1802 by Napoleon Bonaparte. Jolle has played an integral part in the development of the family business AGS, which is now an international group. She joined her three brothers to help develop the company in 1980, after their parents created the removal business in 1974. In 1992, she became the head of AGS international arm, created to develop the business of 18 subsidiaries in France, and in 1997 took charge of extending the global network of partners working with the group. She has been an Administrator and Director of the MOBILITAS Group parent company of the AGS Group since 2001, and became a member of the Executive board of the group in 2016. Jolle has travelled extensively for the business to develop and extend its network. Other signicant achievements in Jolles career include her role as Foreign Trade Advisor and her mentorship of French companies wanting to develop internationally; the recruitment and training of international corporate volunteers (ICVs); numerous trade missions for the International Association of Caribbean and South American Movers (LACMA); her ongoing efforts to ensure women are more present and visible in the business world (FCE Val dOise); and extensive charity fundraising. Receiving her award, Jolle thanked her husband Ronald, two children and seven grandchildren, and employees at Mobilitas. She said that the third generation of the family was already at the helm of the group, with her son Cdric Castro currently Chief Executive Ofcer. She added that in spite of customers changing patterns of consumption and a net global slowdown in professional movements, the group had continued to invest particularly in physical and digitial record management and in the removals sector.
